PRESS CUTTINGS - 1982
In 1982 I organised probably the very first National Fancy Rat Society show to be held outside the London/Home Counties region, in my home town of Street, Somerset. Known as The Wessex Show, it also hosted a small-pets show for rabbits, guinea-pigs, mice, gerbils, hamsters and - naturally - pet fancy rats.

The NFRS show Judge was Ann Storey. Many exhibitors from other parts of the country travelled to take part, and we had an excellent entry of 62. Best In Show was Jean Judd's cinnamon pearl, and Best Opposite Age was my silver-mink Irish buck, Columbo.

To publicise the event I gave redio interviews for Radio West and Radio Bristol, was filmed for local TV stations HTV West and BBC Bristol, and snapped by all the local newspapers. I've kept some of the press cuttings, and thought it might be interesting to put them on a webpage.
