(We only found out on the last day that Suches is pronounced "such-is" and not "sucks" as we'd been calling it.) At the southern end of the state of Georgia is a town called Climax...

Okay, just so that nobody takes offence, I should mention that there are places in the British Isles called [the River] Piddle, The Buttocks, Middle Wallop, and Penistone. Add that to the town in France called Condom, and you can see why some people have a novel, wry approach to geography. I'm one of them!
