Southern Appalachians. A breathtaking, cloud-covered view from one of the winding mountain roads. Brasstown Bald mountain is the highest point in Georgia at 4784 feet, and on a clear day you can see 4 states from the summit: Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina and, of course, Georgia. The day this photograph was taken we'd had thunderstorms in the morning, but that didn't detract from the sight of the pretty, fluffy clouds covering the peaks and casting shadows over the forest.
